About Us

Jayne and Val wanted to enjoy running their business AND their home and family AND still have time for massages, exercise, friends and fun. They didn’t have the recipe for that so they carried out a worldwide study of life work balance secrets of women entrepreneurs*. It helped them identify the ingredients they needed—and a big one concerned time management.

The term, time management, sounded rather clinical, daunting even. And what they found was an overwhelming amount of really useful information. They sifted through it, gathered heaps of tips and other people’s stories and are now putting it into practice (well, at least much of the time!).

Why keep such good information to themselves, they thought, when there are so many other working women who really need easy ways to make the most of their time?

So Save-Time.org was born…and offers loads of information to help you have the time of your life.

Some more details about Val and Jayne:

Valerie McDougall has more than 25 years experience in both big and small businesses, most recently as a strategic communication consultant. She’s been a successful speechwriter, media relations consultant, lobbyist, convention director, new business coach and journalist and has worked on three continents.

Valerie holds a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation degree; a BA and a post-graduate TESOL diploma. She won awards for business plans, business achievements, and speeches, among others.

Valerie has actively participated in volunteer work in her various communities over the years—including being president of a TAFE College, to being a Junior Achievement volunteer in Texas (working to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential by introducing the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy), to being a Country Fire Authority radio operator in a remote Victorian valley.

Jayne Jennings has run her own business and has worked in senior positions in business and government both in Australia and overseas. She is a successful project manager and strategic thinker and has delivered a broad range of projects including major events, award winning strategic policy documents and marketing campaigns, training materials and business development tools.

Jayne holds post graduate diplomas in Business Administration, and Resource Management and a Bachelor of Planning.

With the birth of her daughter, Jayne entered into a job share management position to allow some life:work balance.  Juggling multiple roles including managing acreage property and supporting her husband’s business has meant that achieving life:work balance is a daily challenge. She is now primarily home based, working on a number of projects to support small business development and work life balance success.
